The delivery of a 1MW JA Solar PV system to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu, by ACOB Lighting Technology Limited marks a major milestone under the National Public Sector Solarization Initiative (NPSSI) — the first project implemented by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) to expand clean, reliable energy access across Nigeria’s public institutions.

The NPSSI is a government-led initiative designed to install solar energy infrastructure in critical public facilities such as hospitals, schools, and government buildings. The goal is to enhance service delivery, lower operational energy costs, and promote long-term sustainability within the public sector.
