Our Projects
Situated in the Oloyan community within Ovia South-West LGA of Edo State in the South-South region of Nigeria, this 100 kWp Hybrid Solar Mini-Grid project exemplifies ACOB Lighting Technology’s commitment to community empowerment through sustainable energy access. The installation was designed to address critical energy poverty while catalyzing socio-economic development in the region.
Through this project, over 2,448 beneficiaries now have access to clean electricity. Its implementation created 85 direct jobs and over 26 indirect jobs, advancing local employment and technical capacity development within the host community.
Generating an estimated 146,000 kWh annually, the system significantly reduces the dependence on diesel- and petrol-powered generators. This transition avoids approximately 77.38 tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year, contributing to Nigeria's climate action and sustainability goals.
This project reflects ACOB Lighting Technology's holistic approach to energy development—one that prioritizes people, planet, and prosperity in equal measure.
