Our Projects
As part of ACOB Lighting Technology’s climate action portfolio, the 40 kWp Hybrid Solar Mini-Grid installed in Orotedo, a community in Odigbo LGA, Ondo State in the South-West region of Nigeria, represents a significant contribution to Nigeria’s decarbonization efforts and environmental sustainability goals. This project was designed to deliver clean, reliable energy while minimizing ecological impact and advancing climate resilience.
Through this project, over 2,752 beneficiaries now have access to clean electricity. Its implementation created 85 direct jobs and over 29 indirect jobs, advancing local employment and technical capacity development within the host community.
Generating an estimated 58,400 kWh annually, the system significantly reduces the dependence on diesel- and petrol-powered generators. This transition avoids approximately 30.95 tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year, contributing to Nigeria's climate action and sustainability goals.
This project underscores ACOB Lighting Technology's leadership in deploying renewable energy infrastructure that protects the environment, supports livelihoods, and builds a sustainable future for all Nigerians.
