Access to reliable electricity remains one of the most critical drivers of socio-economic development across rural Nigeria. Through the Minimum Subsidy Tender (MST) programme under the Nigeria Electrification Project, solar hybrid mini-grids are rapidly transforming underserved communities by delivering clean, reliable, and affordable power.
We at ACOB Lighting Technology Limited are proud to have developed and deployed five (5) MST mini-grid sites across Nasarawa State, expanding access to reliable and sustainable energy solutions to communities previously underserved by the national grid.
Our MST portfolio in Nasarawa spans five communities, each powered by isolated solar hybrid mini-grid systems designed to meet local energy demand.
Tunga 300 kWp Isolated Solar Minigrid Project, Awe L.G.A. Nasarawa State, Nigeria - Providing electricity to 567 connections.
Umaisha 350 kWp Isolated Solar Minigrid Project, Toto L.G.A. Nasarawa State, Nigeria - Providing electricity to 904 connections.
Ogufa 200 kWp Isolated Solar Minigrid Project in Nasarawa State, Nigeria - Providing electricity to 438 connections.
Musha 150 kWp Isolated Solar Minigrid Project, Obi L.G.A. Nasarawa State, Nigeria - Providing electricity to 381 connections.
Kyakale 150 kWp IsolatedSolar Minigrid Project, Obi L.G.A. Nasarawa State, Nigeria - Providing electricity to 438 connections.
Each system is tailored to the unique energy needs of its host community, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
Beyond electricity generation, these mini-grids are enabling tangible community transformation by:
This achievement reflects a strong collaboration between the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), the Nasarawa State Government, ACOB Lighting Technology Limited, and local community stakeholders.
Together, we are advancing a shared commitment to expanding sustainable energy access and improving livelihoods across underserved communities in Nasarawa State.
At ACOB Lighting Technology Limited, we remain committed to scaling impactful energy solutions that empower communities and support long-term economic growth.
These five MST sites represent not just infrastructure-they mark a meaningful step toward a more electrified, productive, and inclusive Nigeria.
This effort also complements our broader portfolio in Nasarawa State, including the development of a 1 MW solar mini-grid at Mararaba Udege community, further demonstrating our capacity to deliver scalable and impact-driven energy solutions.
As we expand our footprint, we remain open to strengthening partnerships with the Nasarawa State Government and other key stakeholders to accelerate sustainable electrification across more underserved communities in Nigeria.
